About Sauna Hour

Sauna Hour is a directory of 3,692 saunas, cold plunges, red light studios, Korean spas and bathhouses in 18 US metro areas. It answers two questions before you go: where can I go near here, and what will one visit cost?

How we check a place

• Prices come only from the business's own website, with the page they came from. We list the day pass or single session first; when there is none, the cheapest monthly membership that includes the sauna, plunge or red light. We never use member-only, introductory, holiday or package rates as the regular price, and we never copy one location's price to another.
• Every price shows the date we checked it. We recheck prices every 90 days and hide any we haven't confirmed in 180 days.
• Opening hours come from the business's own website, or its Google Maps listing when the website doesn't show them.
• Addresses and phone numbers come from the business's website, or its Google Maps listing when the website doesn't show them.
• We say what isn't confirmed. When we can't confirm a place on its own website, its page says so and suggests calling before you go. Places that only sell a sauna with a massage or other treatment, places that are members-only, and one-person sauna pods are labeled in words on every card.
• Places that are coming soon are labeled and rechecked every month until they open. Places that have closed are removed.

What we don't do

• We don't publish ratings or reviews, and we don't visit or endorse places. We report what each business publishes.
• Places can't pay to change their facts or their position in the list. A place that pays to appear first is always labeled "Featured".
• We don't give health advice. Our guides link to published research where it exists.

How the site makes money

Our buying guides for home saunas, cold plunge tubs and red light gear link to products on Amazon.Sauna Hour is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Those links never affect which places we list or what we say about them.
